Cycling Mekong River Cruise - Saigon to Siem Reap - Mekong River Cruise from the vibrant southern capital of Saigon, Vietnam, to the ancient kingdom of Angkor, Cambodia, the slow way, by bike and boat on a tour specially made to accommodate both cyclists and non-riding partners. Spend your mornings exploring your surroundings by bike or by foot, then in the afternoons, cruise the iconic Mekong River in comfort and style.

Meet us at the meeting point 9 am, and join us on a walking food tour of this culinary hotspot city. Along the way, taste local specialties such as Vietnamese coffee, chocolate, and beer. We embark our ship in the afternoon to start the voyage on the canal. First dinner together on board.

25 km cycling
Arrive at Saringi Island at around 9 am. Saringi Island and Keramat Island are uninhabited and connected to each other by a sand bank. We will spend the morning going from one island to the other and enjoy a day of beach activities. Swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding. Weather permitting we will enjoy a beach BBQ . Overnight at anchor.

35 km – 65 km cycling
We’ll offer you a morning and afternoon ride. It is your choice to join one or the other, or both. Visit the busy floating villages followed by traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local home.
In the afternoon we cycle to Cai Be, a delta village full of friendly children. We will enjoy a dinner in town before heading back to the ship for overnight.

35 km – 65 km cycling
Cycle along the river banks to Sa Dec, a pleasant colonial town. Lunch is back on board the ship. In the afternoon, we will explore shaded paths through local villages with handicrafts such as woven mats or even ship builders. We almost reach the busy city of Cao Lanh where we embark our ship again for dinner.

30 km cycling
Last ride through the Vietnamese portion of this adventure before we return to the ship at 11am and continue to the border with Cambodia. Once the border formalities are sorted, we cruise around Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh for sunset.

20 km – 40 km cycling
Silk Island (local name Koh Dac), near Phnom Penh, is known for the local women and their silk weaving skills. We’ll have a chance to learn about the process of weaving before we head back to the boat for lunch. In the afternoon, we explore more of the Mekong river banks around Phnom Penh.

40 km cycling
Busy and bustling Phnom Penh has many hidden gems to offer, such as the Art Deco Central Market donated by the French. The past though carries a dark history when in the 1970s the city fell to the Khmer Rouge and became totally deserted. In early 2000s Phnom Penh and the country started slowly to get back on its feet. Join us for a walking tour around town before we transfer to the airport and catch the flight to Siem Reap, home to Angkor.

25 km cycling
We will get up early this morning to reach Angkor Wat just in time for the sunrise. There will be a big crowed at the main temple, but don’t worry, for the rest of the day we have our hidden jungle paths to avoid the tourist hordes. After a private breakfast behind Angkor Wat, we will continue on bikes and visit iconic temples such as Ta Prohm and Bayon, and some lesser-known ancient ruins.
Lunch is served at the Sra Srang Reservoir in the temple complex before we had back to the hotel and an afternoon to realx. We enjoy our last dinner together and then take you out to see the fantastic show at Phare Circus, run by a professional training center for arts.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Angkor National Museum and then make our way to see the NGO APOPO’s giant rats detect land mines! Don’t worry, the rats and you will be safe. We’ll finish the morning at coffee place before returning to the hotel for a final good bye.
