“I feel like I get to go to far off places every day.” That’s how Angela Biene-Lewis describes her work at Marlin Travel. Which could explain why, after 25 years in the industry, she’s still as enthusiastic about her job as she was in high school, when she volunteered at a travel agency to gain experience. “It’s the thrill of making people’s dreams come true - the joy seeing someone experience a place they’ve never been to before,” she explains. Angela’s expertise covers cruises (she’s been on 25,) Jamaica, which she’s traveled to 12 times; and Germany, which she’s visited a whopping 20 times. One of her most memorable travel moments was seeing the Brandenburg gate from behind…then getting to walk through it when the wall came down, and seeing it from the front. As she puts it, “I still get goose bumps.” A passionate golfer, ski enthusiast, avid water skier and all round water-lover, Angela’s favorite destinations include Berlin, Turkey, Italy, Exuma, Alaska and Bermuda. Her ultimate journey: a 180-day around-the-world cruise. But Angela feels just as content behind her desk at Marlin Travel as she does on a train, plane or boat.
