Taipei City Coach Tour

  • Tour route: Presidential Office (Pass by) > Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall > Martyrs’ Shrine > National Palace Museum (1 hour) > The Grand Hotel (photo stop) > Hsing Tian Kong (Xingtian Temple)

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall:an impressive monument to a great Chinese leader. The majestic hall towers over 25 hectares of landscaped gardens, graceful pavilions, and ponds. An elegant Ming-style arch at the main entrance is flanked by two classical-style buildings, the National Theater and the National Concert Hall.

Martyrs’ Shrine: an excellent example of classical Ming dynasty architecture, dedicated to the fallen heroes of China’s wars. There is an hourly changing of the guard ceremony at the entrance.

National Palace Museum: houses the world’s largest collection of Chinese art treasure. Most of the 620,000 art objects were part of the Chinese imperial collection that was brought to Taiwan for safe-keeping.

The Grand Hotel: is a landmark located at Yuanshan in Zhongshan District, Taipei. The main building of the hotel is one of the world's tallest Chinese classical buildings with 87 metres (285 ft) high. It was also the tallest building in Taiwan from 1973 to 1981.

Xingtian Temple: is a popular temple dedicated to Guan Yu, patron saint of businessmen, and is relatively recent in origin. Sculptures of dragons feature prominently in this temple's design which covers over 7,000 sq m.

Tour stops at Wenwu Temple, Ita Thao Indigenous Village, Ci-en Pagoda, Xuanzang Temple, Xiangshan Visitor Center. Overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

Sun Moon Lake – Lugang - Kaohsiung (B)

After breakfast, drive to Lugang and explore this historical and cultural town where it’s well-known for arts and handicrafts. Transfer to Kaohsiung in the afternoon. Upon arrival, enjoy rest of day at leisure and stay overnight in Kaohsiung.

Kaohsiung,- Kenting - Kaohsiung (B)

Begin to tour in Kenting National Park, Taiwan’s first National Park, and enjoy the glimpse of the rural life. Tour stops at Maobitou, Eluanbi Light House, Longpan Park, and end the day with a visit to Hengchung Town before heading back to Kaohsiung.

Kaohsiung,- Taipei (B)

Sightseeing tour with stops at Chengqing Lake which the largest lake in the Kaohsiung Country, Lianchi Lake, Spring and Autumn Pavilion, Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and the former British Consulate which is now the most antique western building preserved in Taiwan. After the tour, return to Taipei.

Taitung – East Coast National Scenic Area - Hualien (B)

Depart to the East Coast National Scenic Area, known as “Taiwan’s last unspoiled land” stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island. Afterwards, proceed to Hualien and stay overnight at Taroko National Park.

Day 5

Hualien – Taroko Gorge – Qingshui Cliff – Taipei (B)

Visit Taroko Gorge for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. On the way to Qingshui Cliff, a 21 km length of coastal cliffs with 800m above sea level, stops will be made Eternal Spring Shrine, Swallow Grotto, and Cihmu Bridge. After the tour, return to Taipei.
