Itinerary

Board your overnight flight to Beijing, China.

 

 

Arrive Beijing, transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Buffet Dinner in the hotel.

 

 

This morning, visit Tiananmen Square and continue to the majestic Forbidden City, the enduring symbol of imperial China.

Built between 1406 and 1420, this vast palace complex showcases grand halls, imperial gardens, and priceless collections of Chinese art and antiquities.

After lunch, explore the Summer Palace, a beautifully preserved royal retreat of the Qing Dynasty, filled with pavilions, temples, and scenic landscapes.

 

 

Travel to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and ride the cable car to this dramatic, less-crowded stretch as it winds across forested hills.

Marvel at one of the world’s greatest engineering feats, once stretching thousands of kilometres across China.

Return to the city in the afternoon with photo stops at the iconic Beijing National Stadium and Beijing National Aquatics Centre.

This evening, enjoy a Peking Duck dinner.

 

 

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian.

In the afternoon, visit the impressive Ancient City Wall of Xian, the largest and best-preserved city wall in the world. Continue to the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a symbol of Xian built in 652. Learn about its role in housing Buddhist sutras brought from India by the monk Xuanzang.

Morning visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Accidentally uncovered by farmers in 1974, the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses underground army pits of the 1st Qin Emperor (3rd century BCE) have thousands of life-size pottery effigies have been unearthed and no two are alike, each one was modeled after a real person. They were made to protect Emperor Qin Shihuangdi in the afterlife and a circle-vision film reenacts the related events of 2300 years ago. This UNESCO site is recognized by many scholars as the world’s most important archeological find of the 20th century. In the afternoon visit the Great Mosque and Muslim quarter.

Enjoy a Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in the evening.

 

 

Transfer to the train station for high-speed train to Chengdu. Upon arrival, meet and explore Jinli Ancient Culture Street and sip tea at a local teahouse.

In the evening enjoy a western dinner at the hotel.

Enjoy a full-day tour in Chengdu, starting at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, dedicated to the protection of giant pandas. Continue to the Jinsha Site Museum, highlighting treasures of the ancient Shu civilization dating back over 3,000 years. In the evening, enjoy a Sichuan Opera performance featuring the famous face-changing art.

Conclude the day with an authentic Sichuan hotpot dinner.

 

 

Transfer to airport for a morning flight to Lhasa, upon arrival, meet and transfer directly to Tsedang.

Enjoy a full-day tour in Tsedang, visiting the historic Yumbu Lhakhang, the oldest palace in Tibet and former residence of the first Tibetan king.

Continue to Trandruk Monastery, renowned for its ancient murals and the celebrated pearl Thangka.

Drive to Samye Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet, founded in the 8th century under Padmasambhava. Admire its unique mandala-style layout and harmonious blend of Tibetan, Chinese, and Indian architecture. Continue onward to Lhasa.

Enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel in the evening.

 

 

Enjoy a full-day tour in Lhasa, visiting its most iconic landmarks. Explore the majestic Potala Palace, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama and a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism. Visit the sacred Jokhang Temple and stroll along Barkhor Street, alive with local culture and devotion.

 

 

Enjoy a full-day tour in Lhasa, visiting two of its most important cultural and spiritual sites. Explore Norbulingka, the former summer residence of the Dalai Lamas, set amid peaceful gardens and classic Tibetan architecture. Continue to Sera Monastery, renowned for its dynamic monk debates held in the courtyard.

Transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai (via Chengdu). Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel.

Enjoy an authentic Shanghainese cuisine dinner at a famous local restaurant in the evening.

Begin your day in Shanghai with an outside visit of the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower. Drive by Shanghai Tower.

Continue to the serene Jade Buddha Temple, home to its famous jade Buddha statues. Afternoon stroll along The Bund, explore the classical Yu Garden, and browse shops on lively Nanjing Road.

 

 

Morning half day excursion to the Zhujiajiao Watertown with a short cruise on the city canal, in the afternoon return to Shanghai and explore Xintiandi area.

Farewell dinner in the evening.
