Golf Cruise on the Danube

Itinerary

Start your Bavarian tour with a scenic drive to Regensburg, stopping at the Walhalla monument, a Neoclassical Greek-style structure perched above the Danube, often referred to as the “German Pantheon.” Continue to Regensburg for a 3-course lunch, followed by a walking tour of the UNESCO-listed medieval city, where you’ll explore historic landmarks such as the 12th-century Stone Bridge and the impressive Gothic cathedral with twin towers. In the afternoon, check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time.

Spend the day exploring the Regensburg region, beginning with a visit to Weltenburg Monastery, Bavaria’s oldest monastic settlement, founded around 600. Discover the abbey church, a Baroque masterpiece built between 1716 and 1739, before enjoying a 3-course lunch at the world’s oldest inn, family-run since 1658. In the afternoon, return to Regensburg for leisure time to explore at your own pace.

After breakfast, depart Regensburg for a sightseeing tour of Munich, exploring Marienplatz Square, home to the city hall, fountains, and carillon, before visiting Olympic Park, the English Garden, and Nymphenburg Palace. After some free time for lunch, continue to the Chiemgau region and check into your hotel in the alpine village of Inzell for a three-night stay. This picturesque landscape, shaped by glaciers, features rugged rocks, forests, mountain lakes, and diverse wildlife. End the day with dinner at the hotel.

Lake Chiemsee, often called the “Bavarian Sea,” spans 80 square kilometers and is set against a stunning Alpine backdrop. Explore the lake by boat, visiting two picturesque islands: Herren-Chiemsee, home to King Ludwig’s Versailles-inspired castle, and Frauen-Chiemsee, a tranquil retreat perfect for relaxation. Frauen-Chiemsee also serves as a pilgrimage site, featuring a Benedictine monastery and shop, where visitors can experience the island’s serene and welcoming atmosphere. End the day with dinner at the hotel.

Salzburg, meaning “Salt-Fortress,” gained its wealth from salt, often referred to as “white gold.” Begin the day with a visit to the world’s oldest visitor mine in Hallein, where modern technology brings the history of salt to life. Then, explore Salzburg’s charming old town, the birthplace of Mozart, before visiting the Hohen-Salzburg Fortress, the largest fully preserved castle in Central Europe, offering panoramic city views. A funicular ride makes it easy to reach the top and return. End the day with dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to Munich and prepare for your return flight home.
