Captain’s farewell dinner on board

In the late afternoon, join the ship in Mahé, the largest island in the Seychelles archipelago. After a welcome cocktail and a safety drill on board, the ship sets sail from the Port of Victoria to nearby Ste. Anne Island, located four kilometres off the coast of Mahé. Here, enjoy a refreshing swim off the ship and in the evening, a welcome dinner to celebrate the journey ahead. The ship moors here overnight.

This morning, the ship sets sail for Curieuse, a small uninhabited island that was once home to a leper colony. Home to giant tortoises, Curieuse boasts lovely beaches and secluded coves. A walking excursion with a local guide takes you through mangrove forests to a farm. After, you’ll return to the beach and be treated to a barbeque under the trees. The afternoon is yours to enjoy the sea, sand, and sun. The ship anchors here overnight.

The ship sails for Cousin Island, a nature reserve protected under Seychelles law, in the morning. Here, embark on an excursion to the Cousin Island Special Reserve, a bird sanctuary under the care of BirdLife International. Approximately 250,000 birds breed on this island, which is also home to several nesting beaches for sea turtles.

The island of Aride is the first stop for the day. Embark on an excursion to the highest point on the island to take in the incredible view. Home to Wright’s gardenia—a flower that isn’t found anywhere else on earth—along with bird species including the Seychelles warbler and the Audubon’s shearwater, Aride is brimming with natural wonders.

This morning, set off on an optional half-day excursion on La Digue. This quaint community is among the most photographed in the Seychelles—and for good reason. Here, you’ll travel by bus to the Veuve Nature Reserve and through the Union Plantation to the beach at Anse Source d’Argent. Arriving at l’Union Estate, enjoy a tour of the copra kiln, a traditional coconut mill, and the colonial plantation house. Marvel at some of the Seychelles most impressive rock formations while enjoying a refreshment.

Set off on a brief guided excursion around the island, and enjoy some swimming and snorkelling time on one of Moyenne’s beaches. You’ll also be treated to a beach barbeque on the island before we leave for the Port of Victoria on Mahé in the late afternoon. Join the crew and your fellow travellers for the Captain’s celebratory farewell dinner, followed by live music and dancing, on board. This evening, the ship moors in Mahé.

This incredible Seychelles cruise comes to an end in Mahé. Disembark in the morning and prepare for your onward journey.
