This morning, visit Colombia’s largest private orchid collection, home to over 5,000 varieties of flowers. After lunch near the airport, board your flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your hotel and check in. In the late afternoon, enjoy a sunset stroll and a guided walking tour of Cartagena’s enchanting walled city. Founded in 1540 as an important Spanish trading post, Mompox became a refuge for treasure and gold, safely guarded against pirate raids on the coast. This sacred place for indigenous people is home to the mythic El Dorado legend, where the chief swam in waters full of gold and precious stones.
