Itinerary
Depart Toronto for Zurich and begin your journey to Switzerland, where dramatic landscapes, historic cities, and unforgettable alpine experiences await.
Arrive in Zurich and meet your local guide before transferring to the city centre, with free time for lunch and your first glimpse of Switzerland’s largest city. Later, check in to your hotel and gather for a welcome dinner, setting the tone for the journey ahead.
Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Zurich by IHG or similar (2 nights)
Travel to Schaffhausen to experience the spectacular Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. Enjoy an exciting boat ride close to the famous rock at the heart of the falls before returning to Zurich, where the remainder of the day is yours to explore at leisure.
Depart Zurich and travel towards Lucerne, stopping to admire the moving Lion Monument along the way. Arrive in this picturesque lakeside city and check in to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to discover Lucerne at your own pace.
Accommodation: Hotel Astoria Luzern or similar (2 nights)
Discover Lucerne on a guided walking tour through cobblestone streets, colourful squares, historic bridges, and frescoed buildings. Later, ascend Mount Pilatus aboard the Dragon Ride cableway for breathtaking alpine views, descend by the world’s steepest cogwheel railway, and cruise across Lake Lucerne before ending the day with dinner and a lively Swiss folklore show.
After breakfast, travel to Basel and meet the rest of your group for a guided walking tour of the city. Afterwards, continue to the Rhine River and embark your cruise, marking the beginning of your elegant journey along one of Europe’s most legendary waterways.
